Advice of Delivery Service
This is a supplementary service to the mail service. The objective of the card is to notify the sender of an item once the item has been delivered to the addressee. The sender makes a request at the time of posting the item, and is issued with the card. He/she must then indicate his name and address, and that of the addressee. He/ she then must then pay the appropriate supplementary fee (Advice of delivery fee, same amount as for registered mail). In addition to this fee, the sender must pay postage of both the advice of delivery and the item. Stamps representing the total postage are then affixed on the item, not the advice. The advice and item are then forwarded together to its destination.
